Nuclear energy is a key contribution to the national power matrix. During the months of April and May, the nuclear power stations Atucha I, Atucha II and Embalse achieved new records in participation (11% of the national total) and in net contribution (1.014.125 MWh) respectively, supplying 11 million of Argentine citizens with electricity.
CONUAR plays a key role in this turning point. Through the uninterrupted provision of nuclear fuels and thanks to the commitment of our collaborators, it contributes to distribute the necessary energy to homes, hospitals, and other Argentine institutions that need it as an essential input for their continuous functioning.
Likewise, production finished during the months of May and June and the "U Tubes" manufactured at our Ezeiza plant were exported to Canada. Said components will be used in the manufacturing of five “Shut Down Coolers” for the nuclear power stations of Bruce Power located in Tiverton, Ontario.
